We are currently taking new customers! We offer daycare and boarding services for dogs of all breeds and sizes. We never breed-shame, and we always carefully and intentionally evaluate each dog’s behavior and temperament to ensure a good fit for our pack. Because we have limited numbers, we want to ensure every pup who stays with us will be happy, safe, and comfortable at their home-away-from-home. We also go the extra mile to confirm all vaccinations are current with all our guests before their stay. Dogs that enjoy running and playing will absolutely love hanging out with us!

HOW WE EVALUATE OUR PACK MEMBERS:

Step 1: Book a tour!

We require a tour to show families our place and to conduct our first behavioral assessment.

Green Light Behaviors:

Healthy correction skills with other dogs, loose and happy play style, and moderate-to-superb recall skills.

Yellow to Red Light Behaviors:

Dogs that show excessive nervousness that is displayed by fence-jumping (attempting to escape our property), overly aggressive correction toward other pups, excessive mounting (humping) behavior, constant barking, extreme resource guarding, and/or crate destruction.

Note: Having a yellow light behavior does not automatically deny a dog; we may move to a trial daycare, or several trial daycares, to see if the behaviors are temporary due to stress in the change in their environment.

Immediate Red Light Behaviors:

Dogs who attempt to bite another dog or human for any reason will unfortunately be denied.

Step 2: Complete a Trial Daycare!

If all goes well with the initial tour and behavioral evaluation, we go the extra step and require at least one trial daycare visit. This allows us to see how pups behave in a pack without their owners around, and how they'll do in a kennel during rest time.

Step 3: Welcome to our Pack!

If your pup does well with their trial daycare, they are welcomed into the RHPC family!
